Youth Coach of the Month

Scott Braden- Boca Jets

Scott coaches for the Boca Jets Lacrosse organization in both the Bantam Girls (Grades K-2) and Junior Girls (Grades 5 & 6) teams and has two daughters that play. Not only does Scott volunteer his time to this group, but he is also one of the coaches of a local travel team- FLOW 24/7. He volunteers anywhere from 4-6 days a week – practices 4+ days per week and games 1-2 days per week.  Scott is an outstanding coach who provides not only strong skill lessons, but also strategy and conditioning skills. He will stay after practice for 30-45 minutes working in smaller groups with girls from his teams to help them continue to improve. He encourages the players to become better players through his positive coaching style. He is a easy going coach, but his desire for the players to improve can be heard during practices and games. He always encourages them to play to their utmost potential. His love of lacrosse is apparent in not only his exuberance during practices and games, but even when he talks to parents and players off the field.
